SCENIC PAINTING

DINNER WITH YOURSELF

Built Set Installation - Production Designer 2026

Painted the walls yellow and then painted a large mural of veins using latex paint. The wall that the veins are painted on is 12'x10'.

I also created a small "in-progress" painting of raw meat to be used as set decoration; acryclic on canvas.

I sculpted four large organs out of papier-mâché and coated them with red latex paint, then dry brushed on top to bring out the texture.

TOXOPYSCHOSIS

Short Film with built assets - Head Scenic 2026

On this film, I was responsible for painting and aging the spaceship console. The designer requested a purple metal finish. To achieve this, I base-coated all of the pieces in purple and then applied several layers of dry brushing in different tones to make it look damaged.

REAL LIFE

Short Film with a built set - Head Scenic and Art Director 2026

Painted a custom-built desk various shades of pink along with a freehanded logo. The top of the desk was painted with a simple wood grain. The top, logo, and hot pink sides of the desk were painted with polycrylic to add shine!

Also painted an abstract swirl and star background on two of the set walls using latex paint.

THE LOST COLONY

Outdoor Theatre Production - Props Technician 2025

Painted two diamond patterned windows to be used-on stage. Painted on burlap with latex paint.

BEAKS BLOODY

Short Film on Location - Head Scenic, 2025

For this film, I was responsible for aging 206 fake bones. Due to the material they were made of, each bone required sanding, priming, and several layers of washes to achieve a realistic and slightly aged look.

I also needed to create a wet blood effect on the rug. To achieve this, I added the blood with dark red paint and then added several layers of a glossy top coat. This way it was dry, but always had a wet shine to it.
